Throughout the year, we offer Shabbat services. These are usually Morning Shabbat Services commencing at 11:15 am and led by Rabbi Leah Jordan, with the participation of members of the community. Rabbi Leah usually has a summer sabbatical. We are lucky enough that some members of our community have trained as lay leaders and we have also had student rabbis come to Norwich. This enables us to have community-led Shabbat Morning services and services led by student rabbis through the summer. We additionally have several Friday evening services during he year.
For this service, we follow the Liberal Siddur, Lev Chadash, and copies are available for your use if you don’t have your own.
We also have available transliterations of many of the hymns and prayers in the service.
If you’d like to participate in a service in some way – in honour of the yahrzeit of a relative, for example – please contact Emily DeVoto (for community-led services) or Hilary Stelling (for rabbi-led services).
