Monthly Shabbat Services

Throughout the year, we offer Shabbat services.  These are usually Friday evening Kabbalat Shabbat services and morning Shabbat Services, with the participation of members of the community.

Some members of our community did train as lay leaders with LJ and we have also had student rabbis come to Norwich.  We have had some community-led Shabbat morning services. We are currently lucky enough to have Student Rabbi Hannah Altorf, leading our shabbat morning services, as well as Friday evening services with education throughout the year.

For services, we follow the Liberal Siddur, Lev Chadash, and copies are available for your use if you don’t have your own.

We also have available transliterations of many of the hymns and prayers in the service here.

If you’d like to participate in a service in some way – in honour of the yahrzeit of a relative, for example – please contact us through our Contact Us page.
