Interfaith Choir Concert
For interfaith week a pop-up interfaith choir will be singing songs from different religious traditions. Rehearsals are taking place on Monday evenings at 7 pm at the Spiritualist Church in Norwich, led by an experienced choir leader. So the concert at the Anglican Cathedral should be good!! This event is a brilliant fundraiser for Norwich Liberal Jewish Community and the charities we support. The Fayre also offers the opportunity for local people to get acquainted with our community, the Jewish faith and the social action projects we are involved in. The comfortable atmosphere and the appealing stalls allow people to ask questions about Judaism and we also introduce ourselves to some Jews who didn’t know about NLJC and our active community. Engaging with Judaism

In addition to (pre-b'nei mitzvah) Hebrew for young people NLJC has Hebrew for Adults. At present this takes place prior to our monthly Shabbat service at 10:00 a.m. in the OMH. It caters for people with different levels of Hebrew. We are delighted that this was initiated by one of our lay leaders, Emily. We're pleased to announce this year's Chanukah Party, a joint Norwich Liberal Jewish Community & Norwich Hebrew Congregation event. Please do come along and bring your Chanukia and any musical instrument - tambourine, drums, guitar, your voice, etc. There will be food, of course, and the event is for adults as well as children. Hebrew for Adults
Hebrew for Adults is normally on Shabbat at 10:00 a.m. This month is is on Friday evening before our light meal and service. We're delighted that our lay leader Emily instigated this and has launched it with a new Learning Hebrew for Adults book. Please contact Emily via our contacts web page if you want to attend.

We apologise for the short notice of this. Last week end's events were cancelled because of the bad weather. We are having a light meal of soups & bagels before the service. Rabbi Leah is coming up to Norwich to lead the Kabbalat Shabat service. We don't have many Friday evening services in the year, so please do come along; contact Sarah 07460849472 if you wish to attend. There is also a shabbat morning service on 21 January.
