Hebrew for Adults
In addition to (pre-b'nei mitzvah) Hebrew for young people NLJC has Hebrew for Adults. At present this takes place prior to our monthly Shabbat service at 10:00 a.m. in the OMH. It caters for people with different levels of Hebrew. We are delighted that this was initiated by one of our lay leaders, Emily. Please join Rabbi Leah Jordan and our ba'alei tefillah students at the Old Meeting House for our monthly Shabbat service. We are extremely pleased that they will also be leading this service. We have Hebrew for young people regularly after cheder, starting at 11:15. We are delighted that this is run by young people (Lily & Ollie) for young people. This also includes joining the Shabbat morning service at about 12:00. After our Shabbat morning service we will also have Kiddush. Tikkun Leyl Shavuot
NLJC is happy to be bringing the Tikkun (repairing) concept to Norwich again. Shavuot is a festival which is 40 days from the end of Pesach (evening ). It is a harvest festival, but more importantly commemorates the giving of the Torah to the Jews. Please join us with Emily DeVoto, Rabbi Roderick Young and Marsha Parker. We're really pleased to see Sam Alston, LJY-Netzer Movement worker, again since he graduated from UEA. He's invited himself to Norwich to lead a Youth Event in the Peill Room.
